ML4000 Midrange Training Systems include the following features:
Base Unit:
- Reconfigurable fully immersive student cab and seat
- Three (3), four (4), or six (6) degrees-of-freedom motion system
- Mulitple channel visual system. (Image generators and large format LCD displays or projector assembly and display screens. We have delivered systems with as many as 12 fully integrated and blended visual channels in a dome configuration.)
Instructor Station:
- Mimic Display to provide dynamic simulator control and monitor all student controls monitoring trainee progress, and tracking performance statistics
- Dynamic Situational Display (SiD) to monitor trainer operation in the simulated arena
- Instructor Joystick to permit the instructor to place the SiD eye point anywhere in the simulated world
- Emergencey Power-Off control
- Intercom to permit direct conversations with student and simulate dispatch commands
- Printer to permit hard output of student records
Control Module:
- Joysticks, levers, indicators, switches and pedals for appropriate crane models
- Dynamic crane software model that replicates the handling and lift characteristics of the actual crane
- Out-the-window visual representation of the view the crane operator observes when operating the actual equipment
- Various control modules and crane models can be easily integrated onto the Base Unit enabling the operator to easily swap controls between various crane types, thereby utilizing a single hardware base to simulate multiple equipment types
Full Team Training (SimFusion):
- The ML4000 can be networked with other GlobalSim simulators to provide an enhanced full team training environment. This is critical to create an appropriate level of realism to prepare each trainee for the challenges of real-world operations.
