GLOBALSIM DELIVERS NEW CRANE TRAINING SIMULATOR TO BAHAMAS

Draper, Utah, January 26, 2009 – GlobalSim, the world leader in simulation training systems for the crane and material handling equipment industry, this week delivered a MasterLift4000 (ML4000) Crane Training Simulator to the Freeport Container Port in the Bahamas.

Freeport Container Port is located 65 miles from Florida, and is strategically located to serve as a major world container transshipment hub between the Eastern Gulf Coast of the United States, the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean, South America, and trade lanes to European, Mediterranean, the Far East, and Australian destinations. Training of new and experienced operators is a critical component of port operations and growth. Through an International Tender Process, GlobalSim was awarded a contract to provide the new training system. The purchase of the ML4000 Crane Training System provides the tools necessary to effectively meet their training requirements

The ML4000 is a fully reconfigurable immersive training system with a realistic student/operator cab, five visual channels, and a three degree-of-freedom motion system. The ML4000 for Freeport Container Port is equipped with crane models for a Ship-to-Shore Gantry Crane and a Mobile Harbour Crane. The unit is housed in a customized over-the road trailer enabling portability if needed.

GlobalSim offers a wide range of trainer configurations including portable, mid-size, and full-sized reconfigurable systems. Depending on the customer's specific needs, GlobalSim can deliver a new simulator within 180 days. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, GlobalSim has successfully developed extremely advanced systems that are considerably more affordable than previous solutions.
