MasterLift Products : ML5000 Material Handling Equipment

ML5000 MHE Training Systems include the following features:

Most Affordable and Stable Hardware Architecture.
A modular strategy leverages the powerful capabilities of the modern PC.

Visual System

The simulator closely replicates the field-of vision experienced by operators on the actual equipment. A multi-(6-12) channel, PC-based visual system provides wrap-around views of the simulated dock environment as well as the view looking down from the cab.

Motion System
The "feel" of operating the actual equipment is accurately recreated by using a physics-based simulation model tightly integrated with a full motion system. If the simulation calls for a shifting load, the simulator reacts appropriately so the trainee feels the load shift in the simulator's movement and controls. By using electric actuators instead of hydraulic equipment the straddle carrier simulator is more reliable, quiet and requires less maintenance. The simulator provides the full range of motion available in the actual equipment through a six degree-of-freedom motion system that provides movement in pitch, roll, yaw, lateral movement, longitudinal movement, and heave.

Instructor Station
The instructor station is a powerful tool allowing the instructor to control the simulation environment, monitor trainee progress, and track performance statistics. Here an instructor can set various load conditions, faults, and environmental factors to tailor training of specific needs and focus students on particular skills. The instructor acts as "dispatch" on complex pre-determined scenarios and even on-the-fly commands.

Additionally, the simulator offers many instructor-initiated faults such as a loss in oil pressure, equipment malfunctions, low pressure in a tire, and electrical failures.

SimFusion (Full Team Training)

The ML5000 can be networked with other GlobalSim simulators to provide an enhanced training environment. For example, dock gantry and straddle carrier operators can be trained together with the same tasks, environment and conditions. Working (and training) in concert creates and even higher level of realism and prepares each trainee for the challenges of real-world operations.
