GlobalSim awarded new conrtact to build advanced forklift simulators for US Army

GlobalSim, the world leader in simulation training systems for the crane and material handling market, today announced the award of a new contract with JLG Industries, Inc. for the purchase of 10 MasterLift^TM 2000 advanced training simulators for the new ATLAS II 10,000 lbs forklift used by the US Army.

JLG Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of Oshkosk Truck Corporation and the world's leading producer of access equipment, announced today that the company was recently awarded a contract valued at $102.2 million by the US Army for the purchase of ATLAS II military telescopic material handlers. Because of our superior training systems technology and wide array of material handling training products, GlobalSim was selected by JLG to provide the training simulators for the program.

The ATLAS II Forklift Trainer utilize our flexible MasterLift^TM base design to provide a training system that exceeds the stringent demands of the US Army. In addition, the architecture of our technology is adaptable enough to provide for easy implementation of future upgrades as training requirements evolve

"The different simulator configurations have given our student operators the ability to take a crawl, walk, run approach to training by moving from performing simple operations in a controlled environment to mastering complex operator tasks without the risk of injury to the student or damage to equipment. We use portable systems to teach the basics and fully integrated systems to train operators on the more advanced skills."

All MasterLift^TM simulator products have been priced for affordability and are available now. Depending on the customer's specific needs, GlobalSim can deliver a new simulator within 180 days.
