Orlando, FL – GlobalSim, Inc. unveiled a new “hybrid” Virtual Reality (VR) Simulator with a motion base at this year’s I/ITSEC conference in Orlando, Florida which took place November 26 through November 30.
Participants at the conference were able to try the new simulator which featured a multiple 70-inch 4K displays situated on a 3 DOF motion base. A number of heavy equipment models were simulated – including an excavator model that attracted dozens of experimenters and onlookers over the course of the 3-day exhibit.“

Our hybrid simulators, like the one showcased here at I/ITSEC, are especially popular because of the training flexibility and choice” remarks Brad Ball, GlobalSim’s VP of Sales and Marketing. “Students can choose to train with the traditional 4k displays, or put on the VR headset at any time for an enhanced training experience on the same simulator.”
I/ITSEC exhibit in Orlando was focused primarily on Military simulation, but the hybrid VR simulators are also available on GlobalSim’s commercial offerings. “This has been a big year for GlobalSim” remarks Jonathan McCurdy, President and CEO of GlobalSim. “We’ve recently completed a number of installations, including a large project for the US Army Reserve Corps. To begin 2019, we’ve got a number of commercial projects that are kicking off.” Here you can find help when you need an airbnb cleaning service in Denver.“

The demand for VR products continues to increase” remarks McCurdy. “We were one of the first simulator companies to introduce virtual reality at the I/ITSEC exhibit back in 2016. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come as the new hybrid simulators represent the next generation which seamlessly blend traditional simulator training with virtual reality.”

GlobalSim’s mid-range simulator platform, called the Essential, and its high-end platform, called the Full Mission, now both offer the hybrid capabilities with virtual reality as an option. GlobalSim’s flagship simulator, the Advanced, includes virtual reality as a standard option.
