Dan Olson Retires after 24 years at GlobalSim

Dan Olson Retires
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Dan Olson, our Vice President of Operations, who has provided us with 24 years of devoted service. Since joining GlobalSim in 1996, Dan has been deeply involved with the manufacturing, installing, and maintaining of simulators throughout the world. He is a true veteran in the field of simulation with 40 years combined experience in the industry. “Dan has been at the heart of GlobalSim for many years” exclaims Jonathan McCurdy, President and CEO at GlobalSim. “He’s an expert at integrating simulation systems into ports, training centers, military installations, private schools, and more. He will be missed tremendously” said McCurdy. For years, Dan’s attention to detail and willingness to help customers meet their training needs has been invaluable. Although Dan will be impossible to replace, his day-to-day responsibilities will be shared among capable managers, including Max Barker who leads GlobalSim’s Customer Support team and Dan’s son, Daniel Olson, who is the company’s hardware engineering manager. As GlobalSim wishes Dan success in his retirement plans, we will surely miss his uplifting attitude “He always took the time to personally introduce me to every single customer and taught me the importance of service. His positivity will certainly be missed” remarks Gina Soto, Sales and Marketing Associate. In retirement, Dan will advise GlobalSim on a part-time basis and will continue to serve on the company’s board-of-directors.
