GlobalSim is pleased to announce it has completed the installation of a Full Mission Crane Simulator at the Port of Ashdod in Israel. The Port of Ashdod, billed as the leading economic gateway to Israel, is located just 32 kilometers south of Tel Aviv on the Mediterranean Sea. After extensive research for many months including visits to multiple training facilities, the Port of Ashdod released an open tender invitation for a crane training simulator. GlobalSim was pleased to be chosen as the vendor to fulfill their crane simulator training needs.
Over the last several months, the management team at the Port of Ashdod has worked in conjunction with engineers at GlobalSim on final preparations and testing. Commissioning of the Full Mission crane simulator was completed in September and the Port of Ashdod is now using the system to train personnel. The equipment included a Full Mission simulator complete with a 3 DOF full- cabin motion system. In addition, the Port of Ashdod ordered three desktop simulator units to augment their high-end crane simulator. Simulated crane models include an STS, RTG, RMG and double jib luffing cranes.
