Management Team at GlobalSim, Inc. Announced

Management Team at GlobalSim Crane Simulators

GlobalSim, Inc. has announced a new management team following the recent spin-off from Kongsberg. The company will be led by Jonathan McCurdy, who previously held the role as General Manager prior to the corporate re-organization which occurred in late March. Based in Salt Lake City, GlobalSim is considered an industry leader in crane simulation and is also well known for manufacturing custom simulators for military equipment.

“We had a unique opportunity to execute a management-buy-out from Kongsberg” said McCurdy. “The decision to spin-off and once again become an independent company was highly strategic. For many years we had operated as an independent division within Kongsberg with our engineering, manufacturing, and sales personnel all under one roof.” McCurdy Continues “We have a great talent pool within our company and our new management team is comprised entirely in house personnel – they all have significant experience in a leadership capacity and all but one have been with the company for longer than 5 years.

Joining McCurdy is Kolby Baron who serves as Vice President of Finance and Administration. Mr. Baron is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who held the same role prior to the spin-off. Brad Ball will be the new Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Ball previously managed the sales efforts for GlobalSim in Europe and Asia. Dan Olson, an industry veteran with over 40 years of simulation experience, will serve as the Vice President of Operations. Rounding out the leadership team are Von Colborn, who will serve as the companies Director of Product Management, and Stanislav Borodai, who is the lead software architect.
