Spotlight: SENAI Training Facility in Santos, Brazil Features 5 GlobalSim Simulators

SENAI Training Facility

– is the SENAI technical college. This professional training center is situated in a multistory complex and offers courses in industrial, technical, and higher education.

“The SENAI technical college is very modern and impressive,” remarks Brad Ball, VP of Sales and Marketing for GlobalSim who recently visited SENAI while in Santos, Brazil. “The school itself is on par with anything you will find in North America or Europe. We’re very proud to have GlobalSim simulators at the SENAI school and I’m confident this is the pre-eminent training facility in South America for port crane operators.” The school offers crane training courses on the simulators which are published on their website. http://www.simtech.com.br

Prominently located on the main level of the SENAI training center are five (5) GlobalSim training simulators which were installed in 2015 as a newly established program to train crane operators in Santos and throughout Brazil. The port training division of the SENAI school includes a Full Mission crane simulator and 4 mid-sized GlobalSim Essential simulators. Operators can learn skills on Ship-to-Shore cranes (STS), Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTG), and more.

Assisting GlobalSim in supporting the SENAI school is SIMTECH, a Rio based company that provides logistics support, technical assistance, and operation and maintenance training for a number of multi-national companies (web site: http://www.simtech.com.br). “The partnership has been a success,” remarks Brad Ball, who along with Simtech representative Antonio Costa Neta, visited Simtech and other GlobalSim clients throughout Brazil. Despite the setback in the Brazilian economy in 2015-2016, business, in general, appears to be on the rebound as GlobalSim and SIMTECH hope to capitalize on the momentum of SENAI moving forward into 2018 and beyond. Brad Ball concludes “The prospect for business in Brazil is improving and we are already working on several potential projects in Brazil in conjunction with SIMTECH.”
